Election Day Service Alert.

PLEASE NOTE SLIGHTLY REVISED ADVICE FOR TRASH COLLECTION POST-HOLIDAY

No Trash or Recycling Collection, nor Street Cleaning on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2020

The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that in observance of Election Day, there will be no trash or recycling collection, nor street cleaning, on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
Residents who normally receive Tuesday trash collection should hold their material back until their next collection day, if possible.

Residents will not be penalized for placing material at the curb between 4 p.m. and midnight Tuesday evening, however collection may be delayed, as is common after all holidays. We appreciate patience as we work to collect the backlog of material.

Residents who normally receive Tuesday recycling collection should place their material out at curbside between 4 p.m. and midnight on Monday, November 9 for pickup on Tuesday, November 10.
Additionally, all Sanitation Department administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 3 in observance of the holiday.

For questions about Sanitation services and holiday schedules contact 311 or visit nyc.gov/sanitation.
