Labor Day September 7th

Historic City Hall will begin a new access security system starting January 22, 2018. Visitors/Clients/Tenants and Customers wishing to enter the building will need to use the new call box feature to contact Brighton Housing Authority’s Office to enter, using instructions posted on the call box.

The Commerce City Housing Authority (CCHA) provides housing opportunities and resources to help residents buy, rent or improve their homes. The Housing Authority’s essential mission within the community is to create and sustain housing in Commerce City for low-income residents. The CCHA recognizes that to be a Quality Community for a Lifetime, Commerce City must have affordable housing for people across the income spectrum and must not price out those who cannot afford high housing costs.

The eight-member board has four regular members, two alternate regular members, one regular council member, and one alternate council member. Regular members serve five-year terms and council members serve two-year terms.

The board has no vacancies at this time.

The Housing Authority partners with developers to provide safe, decent and affordable housing for qualified applicants. Current partnerships include:

*Household income limits are not the same as public housing or subsidized housing, which CCHA does not offer at this time.

Down Payment & Closing Cost Assistance

Commerce City participates in the Metro Mortgage Assistance Plus Program (administered by the City and County of Denver) and can help qualifying first-time home buyers through the Housing Authority Homebuyer Program.

Home Rehabilitation Loans

Need help improving your home? The Housing Authority provides low-interest loans to qualifying homeowners for home repair and improvement projects such as electrical rewiring, plumbing, furnace and roof repair.

Housing Choice Voucher Program
(Section 8)

The Housing Choice Voucher is available for qualified individuals who rent from private landlords. The Housing Authority annually inspects these rented units to ensure they meet U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development housing quality standards.

Senior Housing

There are several housing options for older adults in the city, including Conter Estates, Kearney Plaza Apartments and Madonna Plaza.
