Winning Wisconsin Lottery Badger 5 ticket sold at Manitowoc County quick mart

MANITOWOC – One of seven winning tickets splitting a $248,000 jackpot in Wisconsin Lottery’s Aug. 7 Badger 5 was sold at a Manitowoc County quick mart.

Wisconsin Lottery said in a news release Tuesday that a ticket sold at Bonde’s Quik Mart at 1517 North Avenue in Cleveland was among the seven winners.

The other winning tickets were sold at Kwik Trip in Baraboo, Stop-N-Go in Hartford, 7 Eleven in Madison, Otto’s Beverage Center in Menomonee Falls, Kwik Trip in Sparta and Piggly Wiggly in West Allis, Wisconsin Lottery said. Lotto tickets are valid for 180 days after the draw date.

The seven-way split ties a Wisconsin Lottery record set on Feb. 5, 2016, for the most number of winning tickets. Wisconsin Lottery said the prize money in the Badger 5 jackpot will be equally divided among the number of players matching all five numbers, so each winner will get $35,428. If a prize is not claimed, Wisconsin Lottery said the value of unclaimed prizes is credited to the Wisconsin Lottery property tax relief fund.

Retailers that sell winning tickets greater than $599 receive an incentive of 2% of the winning ticket amount, up to $100,000. Wisconsin Lottery said each of the seven retailers will receive 2% of the overall jackpot amount.

Wisconsin Lottery said the ticket sold in Manitowoc County is one of seven winners that will receive $35,428.
