The Maine Bar Exam is a 2-day exam. Day 1 consists of two 90-minute Multistate Performance Test (MPT) questions and six 30-minute Multistate Essay Exam questions. Day 2 is the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), a 200-question, multiple-choice exam.

What’s the minimum score for MPRE?

How is Maine Bar Exam scored?
MBE is weighted 50%, the written portion is weighted 50%, and the scores are scaled and combined to determine if a passing score of 276 was achieved.
When are Maine Bar Exam results released?
Results are released 75 days after the exam.
Can I transfer my MBE scores from another jurisdiction?
Maine may accept MBE scores from other jurisdictions.
What about ME Bar Exam reciprocity?
An applicant who (i) has been engaged in the active practice of law for 3 of the 5 years immediately preceding the application or (ii) has taken the MBE within the prior 61 months to the current exam may elect to take only the first day of the examination. An applicant qualified under either (i) or (ii) and who has achieved a usable MBE scaled score may be admitted on the basis of a further modified written examination.
