One ticket sold in Silverton Pharmacy in Toms River matched all five white balls and had the Powerplay to win a $2 million prize. Another ticket sold in Minnesota won $1 million.
The jackpot was an estimated $59 million with a cash option of $48.3 million, according to the Powerball website. There was no overall winner so the jackpot will rise to $68 million with a cash option of $55.6 million for Saturday night’s drawing.
Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot was at $231 million with a cash option of $184.9 million, according to the Mega Millions website.
Until recently, lottery winners in New Jersey were required to be identified, but now winners will be able to stay anonymous under a new law that was signed by Gov. Phil Murphy.
