So where are the large yields figured into your numbers? From what I hear, soybean yield is forecast to be a record/acre and the corn yield per acre is forecast slightly lower than previous estimates but still a record. You can only burn so much ethanol and livestock can only eat so much grain. The rest of the disappearance depends on world demand. Given the tariffs are hurting soybean prices but is not the government payment meant to offset the loss? Given world supplies of grains, would prices not have been lower anyway? Sorry to say this but every year a farmer will not get a huge price for corn and beans no matter what. You are a money man John and you know when supplies are high, prices go south. In my estimate to much marginal land is in grain production that should be in grass.
