win pick 4 lottery everyday

Game Features

3. Decide how much you want to wager: 50-cents or $1 per play. The more you wager, the higher the potential prize.

  • Straight/Box is $1 per play.
  • Combo tickets cost 4 to 24 times the single play amount, depending upon the numbers selected.

The Drawing

Pick 4 drawings are held daily except for Christmas Day and Easter Sunday. Make sure you buy your tickets for each Pick 4 drawing by 9:30 p.m. on the day of the drawing. Tickets purchased after 9:30 p.m. on drawing nights will be valid for the next drawing(s). Pick 4 winning numbers are displayed on Official Draw Show stations every night and updated on this website.

How Multidraw Works

Save time by playing your numbers for multiple drawings. You can play 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 14 consecutive drawings. When you claim a prize, you’ll receive an Exchange ticket for the balance of the drawings remaining.

How Advance Play Works

Play any day in the future through the next six days. When you play multidraw, your play will start on the advance play day you choose or the next drawing if you don’t.

Ways to Play

Paper Playslip. In blue or black ink, fill in your numbers and game options on a paper playslip available in the retailer’s Lottery Play Center. You may play up to five sets of numbers on each playslip.
Digital Playslip. Select and save your numbers and game options on the Louisiana Lottery Official Mobile App and show the resulting code at checkout for your ticket to print.
Ask the Retailer. If you want a Quick Pick, tell the clerk. You can play up to 10 Quick Picks on one ticket. These will be $1 Straight plays.
Replay Feature. To play the same numbers, number of drawings and game options as on a previously played ticket, present it to the retailer and ask for a Replay!

Pick 4 can also be played with other Lottery draw-style games. Find out more about our game bundling options!

No. State law prevents the sale of Louisiana Lottery products through the Internet. Only licensed retailers are legally authorized to sell Louisiana Lottery tickets.

Yes! The multidraw features on the Lottery’s draw-style games allows players to purchase plays for multiple drawings, up to 14 for Pick 3 and Pick 4 and up to 20 for Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto and Easy 5. If you win a prize during one of the drawings, you do not have to wait until the last drawing has occurred before collecting those winnings. When you cash a winning multidraw ticket with drawings still remaining, the Lottery’s terminal system will print out an exchange ticket good for the balance of the remaining drawings and with the same numbers as on your original ticket. The retailer will retain the original ticket as it is no longer valid and give your exchange ticket with your winnings.

Winning scratch-off tickets can be claimed up to 90 days following the closure of the game. A list of closed games and end-of-redemption dates can be found on this website. Winning draw-style game tickets can be claimed up to 180 days following the drawing in which the prize was won.

All of the Lottery’s games are games of chance. Drawing games are conducted using random number generation. This means that every number combination has an EQUAL chance of being selected for every drawing, REGARDLESS of whether or not it was drawn in the past. If number combinations that had been drawn in the past were removed from play, the game would be unfair. Even assuming that number combinations could be eliminated, it would take 1,000 drawings, or 2.8 years, for every possible Pick 3 combination to be drawn. For Pick 4, it would take 10,000 drawings or 28 years.

When a prize is claimed it becomes the property of that individual, even if the prize is paid out as an annuity. Hence, all winnings become a part of the estate of the deceased.

The winning numbers or results of Powerball, Lotto, Pick 3 and Pick 4 drawings are broadcast beginning at 9:59 p.m on the following television stations. Mega Millions drawings are broadcast at 10:00 p.m. on the following TV stations, except for WVUE-FOX8 where it airs at the top of the first commercial break of the hour.

Lotto: Wednesday and Saturday nights at 9:59 p.m., except Christmas Day.

Easy 5: Wednesday and Saturday nights at 9:59 p.m., except Christmas Day.

Powerball: Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m.

Mega Millions: Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m.

Pick 3 & Pick 4: Daily at 9:59 p.m., except Easter Sunday and Christmas Day. There are no Louisiana-based drawings on Christmas Day or Easter. Drawings for the multistate games, Powerball and Mega Millions, will be conducted should Christmas fall on a draw day. Tickets must be purchased by 9:00 p.m. on the draw date for Powerball and Mega Millions, and by 9:30 p.m. on the draw date for Pick 3, Pick 4, Lotto and Easy 5 to be eligible for that drawing.

Pick 4 was introduced March 1, 1999 with daily drawings.

On occasion, certain popular Pick 3 and Pick 4 numbers may “sell out” and cannot be purchased. Unlike other draw-style Lottery games, Pick 3 and Pick 4 pay out an established prize regardless of how many tickets are winners. In order to adequately fund these fixed prizes, the Lottery establishes a prize liability limit on these games and restricts sales of tickets for such drawings if the liability limit would be exceeded by the drawing of any particular numbers. Liability limits usually take effect when a large number of people have chosen a certain number, such as 9-1-1 after the Sept. 11 terrorist attack or 2-0-0-0 when the millennium ended. There is no need for sales restrictions on Easy 5, Lotto, Mega Millions and Powerball numbers, since jackpots are pari-mutuel, meaning the jackpot is divided equally among all its winners.

Pick 4 Prizes & Odds
Pick 4 Past Numbers

With two chances to win every day, multiple ways to play, and a top prize of $5,000, Pick 4 is a number lover’s dream come true! Take your birthday, anniversary, or any four lucky numbers and get into the game with Pick 4!

Game play

Click for a closer view of the playslip.

  • Choose your play amount. You can play Pick 4 for $1 or 50.¢
  • Choose your play type. You’ve got plenty of options here, so see the Play Type section for detailed descriptions.
  • Choose your draw. You can play a day draw, night draw or both!
  • Choose your own numbers on a playslip. Pick a four digit number from 0000 through 9999.
  • Or use Easy Pick and let the computer choose for you.
  • We draw winning numbers every day at 1:59 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Play options

  • Want to play the same numbers for more than one draw on a single ticket? Well, you can! A Multi-Draw ticket lets you play up to 91 consecutive draws on one ticket. Please keep in mind that the ticket price increases for each draw you add.
  • Thinking ahead to a special date? You can buy a ticket for one future draw date. It’s called a Future draw. Mark the Optional Plays box on your playslip, and let the clerk know which future draw date you have in mind.
  • Love those numbers so much you want them on more than one ticket? You can Repeat your play and have the same numbers printed on more than one ticket up to 20 times.
  • Tel your clerk which option you want when you present your playslip. Keep in mind that playing in more than one draw increases the ticket price by the number of draws you choose.

Fourteen chances to win every week

  • Pick 4 numbers are drawn twice a day, seven days a week. We have a little break between selling and drawing the numbers, so you can’t buy tickets starting at 1:53 p.m. for that day’s draw and again starting at 10:45 p.m. for that night’s draw – just something to keep in mind if you’re playing close to draw time.

Play types

Pick 4 features more than one way to play! Check out the different ways:

  • Exact order: Play it straight! Match all four digits in the same order as drawn.
  • Any Order: Give yourself options! Match all four of the digits drawn; the order doesn’t matter.
  • 50/50: The best of both worlds! Split a $1 play in half, 50¢ on exact order and 50¢ on any order.
  • Combo: Cover all the bases! Play $1 exact order on every possible combination of a four-digit number.
